News
Welcome, Friends and Well Wishers of our Mission Diocese!

Rev. Jose K. Jacob SMMI am delighted about this website, a long standing dream since I began working in the USA for our mission in Papua New Guinea. We continue to be grateful to persons who make it possible for us to host this site. The Heilig, the Wilson and the Perkins families from the Midwest deserve particular mention in this regard. Theirs and many others generosity continue in the tradition of our mission, which has accomplished what it has, through the cooperation of many like them through the decades.

This third improvement to our website comes through a professional designer Studio 202 and has room for further development. Visitors will find basic information that will help them appreciate our work, in an environment far removed from our own. Additionally there are many pictures that tell our story. We plan also to bring stories of individuals and services who become the “Good News” to our people. Our plan is to update the site more regularly.

Our dream is that this website will serve two main purposes. First, for the friends of our mission to be updated on news and events from the mission and tell others of the same. Secondly, this present improvement opens the possibility for online donations. We are working on that possibility as we speak and it should be available in a couple of weeks.  We do not plan to add to the hundreds of requests you receive in the mail seeking donations, but please be aware that any donation, however small it may be, goes a long way to assist our work. For those who want to make a donation by mail, our new contact address here in the USA:

Diocese of Daru-Kiunga, C/O Shrine of our lady of the Island, 258 Eastport Manor Road, Manorville, NY 11949.

Once again, thank you for visiting us and for your interest in the mission of our Church. May God bless you.

Yours in Christ,
Rev. Jose K. Jacob SMM.print
